In my recent research on Cal State Long beach I have come to find out a lot of information on the college that I was unaware of. For example it is the 2nd most applied to school in California after UCLA. That alone is huge being that it beats out USC. Its affordability and location is perfect for a a first time college student. You cannot beat being by the beach and having a metropolitan city feeling with very affordable housing. Being a resident myself of long beach going on 3 years I have grown accustom to its diversity and variety of activities to do on your spare time.Not  a dull moment in the LBC :-)..
 My second choice was San Diego State. This was a hard one to walk away from being that San Diego is my favorite city in California. Great city, great people, perfect weather and Good food what more could you ask for. But when it came to choosing a school there were things to consider when making a definite choice. San Diego States tuition is a bit more costly then Cal State long Beach. The cost of living and relocating to San Diego would be more expensive then living in long beach. Although the college has a good reputable name not many students graduate compared to the percentage of Cal State Long Beach. Over 80% of CSULB transfer students eventually earn baccalaureate degrees. Maybe its due to the party reputation of the college, but I would like to surround my self with focused individuals that are striving to be successful. So my decision was eventually narrowed down to CSULB. Maybe one day in the near future once I start my career my desire to live in San Diego will come true. In the mean time Long beach is the place I call home :-)...
